About Gift of Living Donation
Gift of Living Donation
Gift of Living Donation (GOLD) is an organisation working to
promote and create awareness of living kidney donation in
the black community where there is a greater need for more
donors. It was founded by Dela Idowu, after she came for-
ward as a potential living kidney donor for her brother who
had chronic kidney disease.
GOLD’s goal is to increase the number of living kidney do-
nors from the black community through awareness, educa-
tion and empowering kidney patients to have conversations
about living donation with their friends and relatives.
